I feel like I have been filling my blog with lots of holiday content recently – capsule wardrobes and relaxed summer styles but as all signs of summer seem to have disappeared from the UK I’ve decided that there’s only one thing for it: to think about warmer climes more intensely and occupy all brain space with style updates, long days at the beach and chilled glasses of rosè. That will chase those big grey clouds in the sky away, won’t it?

Whats your holiday style formula?

You know me, I like to stick to a formula, especially when I am travelling. In my suitcase you’ll find my favourite pieces, shirt dresses and tunics – always in co-ordinating colours, a pair of flip flops and a nice pair of sandals.

I’ve decided to forgo a bikini this year in favour of a one piece, they look so chic and frankly give you a lot more freedom, particularly if you are chasing after small children. I like this one in khaki from House of Fraser, I think it’s a really flattering colour on tanned skin.

Straw baskets are ideal for beach holidays, Rae Feather make covetable personalised baskets but Etsy is the place to go if you don’t want to spend quite as much. However, if you prefer something that folds into your suitcase then try Elizabeth Scarlett’s range of St Tropez inspired beach bags, they aren’t cheap but they are gorgeous!

Now tell me, what’s in your suitcase?
