Easy Weekend Summer Style

Easy Summer Style | Straw Bags + Summer dresses

This isn’t the post I had planned for this week, although it’s not too far off the mark. I was going to tell you about this round woven bag from Wood Grey or this well priced alternative from Etsy but I got sidetracked looking for outfits to go with them and voilà! I found a lovely little outfit that just screams easy weekend summer style. Let’s also take a moment to rejoice at the possibility that summer might finally be on its way in the UK and we can all put our coats away for good…

I’ve kept it really simple with a feminine dress from Mango, I don’t usually do Bardot style tops or dresses (can’t be bothered with the strapless bra situ). This one has a delicate strap that makes me feel like I could wear it. Also stripes, red stripes so I’m in!

Roman sandals like these from The White Company, tassel earrings and a straw basket – how good is this one from Monsoon? – or a woven bag and you are going to kill it! I’ve added the Gaia bag to this edit because I adore it’s design. It’s a cult classic and I’m trying to work out how I can justify purchasing one… answers on a postcard please.

If you’d rather go hands free and frankly I wouldn’t blame you, then you really need the aforementioned women bag from Wood Grey. It’s waitlist only at the moment, new drops are expected in the coming weeks but do have a look around Etsy for alternatives. Kate La Vie has this one and I think it’s a really good price.

If anyone wants to whisk me off to saint Tropez, I’m ready!

Of course I love it all…especially the Gaia…and the Kate la Vie (great find!!). Don’t suppose you have come across any well priced straw hats – Panama style – at all? Shannah xx

I’m sorry Shannah, I haven’t seen any Panama hats on my travels, I got mine whilst on holiday in Spain – the real thing is so expensive! John Lewis is quite a good place to start though. Good luck and thank you for taking the time to read this post!
