This is exactly the kind of blogpost that I love to write, I put together an outfit that requires minimal effort, it looks better than I had anticipated and it makes me feel good. Bingo! Easy peasy post that is a joy to write and an outfit I can depend on for the next few months.
Signs of summer continue to elude us in the UK but I think it’s time to introduce some summery vibes into our wardrobes. Tassels, pompoms, embroidery and peasant tops are big trends this year and I’ve been itching to get in on the action. I have resurrected a pair of black espadrilles that I bought from H&M last year, they work really well with jeans and pretty much any top. You can still get really similar ones here. Espadrilles are a good in between shoe, they give a nod to summer but keep your toes warm. Being unseasonably dressed really bugs me but it’s all too easy to get caught out at this time of the year.

I have also made a small investment in a pair of Air and Grace wedge espadrilles because they are so damn cheery I couldn’t resist. I should point out that Air and Grace shoes are made with Tender Loving Air technology which makes them extremely comfortable to wear even with a big wedge heel. They come in nude and gold, I chose the latter because I’m a sucker for metallics – they go with EVERYTHING!
The top I am wearing is from Next and I bet you have seen it a thousand times on social media, I bought it back in February and I took it on holiday to Dubai but I haven’t worn it since. I worried that it was an unflattering and impulsive Instagram influenced purchase or that I might bump into someone else wearing it. Since I can’t take it back I’m putting it to good use and wearing it regardless and you know what? I love it! Especially styled with these khaki chinos from M&S.
I’m not usually a chinos kind of girl but my stylist friend Alex persuaded me to try them on and I think they work really well. Somehow this shade of green softens the boldness of the top and it’s nice to have something besides jeans to wear.

Absolutely adore this outfit, especially the sandals, as I said over on Instagram. I bought some khakis at Gap before our trip to Morocco and I’ve been wearing them so often … they are perfect for this kind of weather!
I loved all your pics from Morocco and I’m alway happy to be following in your stylish footsteps!
