I’ve been collecting prints and putting them in frames for about a year now in the vain hope that we will get round to creating gallery wall. I’m very keen on typography style prints and anything beauty and fashion related, I am also a big fan of botanical prints. They were huge last year and they are set to be even bigger with the advent of greens and greenery as a key trend in interiors.

Add Character to your home with a bold print

Prints are an inexpensive way to add character to your home and you can usually get a decent frame in Ikea to fit your print if you opt for the unframed option – which is usually cheaper. Displayed in the right place prints will make an impact on your home whether you’re creating a focal point or bringing a dull corner to life.

Kate La Vie injects some serious style into her hallways with a great mix of prints.

I have bought beautiful (framed) prints from Oliver Bonas in the past and more recently from DesenioOlive et Oriel prints are very popular at the moment but I must urge you to have a good look around Etsy when you are shopping for prints.

Head over to Etsy for unique prints

Take Slay My Print for example, I found the lovely Matt and Adam on Instagram, their ‘Holy Shit You Look Ahu-may-zing’ print made me do a double take. I found their Etsy shop, we got chatting and I really wanted to support their small but perfectly formed business.

Designing and creating their own wedding stationery sowed the seed for what has now become their printing business. They were flooded with requests from friends for prints for their own homes and so Slay My Print was born with style and a whole lot of attitude!

So wether you are looking for a bold print that will make a statement or smaller prints that will form part of gallery consider looking around Instagram and Etsy for unique prints to adorn your walls.

Thank YOU for taking the time to read my post, you must have some many to get through. The world of linkies scares me a bit so it’s nice to dip my toe with lovely people. How funny/ interesting that you have work by Rolf Harris, he was a talented artist after all so I can imagine that you have conflicting feelings about it. We are so fortunate that there are so many affordable ways to get good art for our homes. Thank you for your support!
