Kylie at M&Co | Shopping for Pre-Teens

I’ll confess that I didn’t know much about M&Co before I attended their press day at the end of November. I vaguely remember popping into one of their branches for some emergency clothing while we were on holiday on the South Coast a few years ago but there isn’t one on our high street so it just wasn’t on my radar. However, I was blown away when I got the opportunity meet the team and browse their Spring Summer 2017 collection before Christmas.

Did you know that they are a family owned business? That 95% of their collection is designed in-house? I was really impressed by this and I got a great feeling from the team who clearly believe in their brand. There are some gems to look out for in the months ahead including homeware that wouldn’t look out of place at Anthropologie, fab athleisure and an impressive shoe collection. Then I spotted the Kylie range designed for 9 to 13 year olds and I knew instantly that my daughters would love it!

We were lucky enough to be sent some clothing by M&Co and my girls aged 9 and 11 found plenty to choose from. They have a strong sense of style and they love to shop as I mentioned in this post – they are influenced by You Tubers and dream of shopping in Topshop. The days when I could kit them out in co-ordinating Boden outfits are long gone and New Look has become their fashion Mecca, they cater for 9 to 15 year olds and my girls adore it but I think it’s about to get a bit of healthy competition…

I let Izzy and Maia choose what they wanted from the range and I enjoyed seeing how the choices they made reflect their personalities, as luck would have it most of it is in the sale now. The clothes have washed well and I would say that the sizing is generous but we are all quite short in our family so don’t take my word for it!

Where do you shop for your children?

Wowwee they are such mini-mes!! I remember there was an M&Co when I lived in Forest Hill, great to see them getting some recognition in these competitive times. It’s great when you discover new brands Xx

I just had no idea how ‘small’ they really are, sort of warms the cockles of your heart. Lots to come from them this year I think. Thanks for taking the time to stop by! xx
