I was so thrilled to kick off the festive season with a party hosted by Homesense this year. The opportunity to browse their seasonal collection in a beautiful setting and the promise of a real life meet-up with some Instagram friends had me hotfooting it to Birmingham without hesitation. The Prosecco flowed and the evening did not disappoint, I left feeling happy and full of festive cheer!
The party was held at The Lost and Found in Birmingham and I was really taken with the stunning venue chosen by the Homesense team, the Victoriana inspired decor really set off the gorgeous pieces that were on display for us to admire. Gold is a big look this year and I for one am not complaining.
I was particularly impressed with these cute cloches which look so decorative filled with fairy lights or mini baubles. They also make a very nice home for your favourite scented candles, it stops them from gathering dust when not in use and makes a lovely display. Best of all you can get your hands on one for about £5.99 for the smaller size.
Other items worth noting were huge candelabras that make stunning centre pieces and covetable barware that would look perfectly at home in the American Bar which just happens to be my favourite bar in London – glamour and delicious cocktails guaranteed!
I’ll definitely be popping into Homesense before I put my Christmas tree up next week. I’ll be looking for a cloche and a special centrepiece for my dining table because if you can’t go over the top at Christmas when can you?
