It’s been a busy week at Tinker Tailor Online HQ as I continue to work towards making this blog a success and above all something that you enjoy taping into from time to time. Since I started this journey I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received and unexpected joy of making new friends, so as it’s Friday I will be raising a glass to you this evening.
Now for beauty related matters – the Stylist Beauty Council kindly sent me a Sally Hansen Miracle Gel kit to try and review. Nails are not really my thing, as a former pre-school teacher and mother of young children my nails were always at the bottom of my list of priorities.
I would always choose a facial over a manicure but since blogging has become a full time occupation I have been able to enjoy the pleasure of having nice looking nails. Regular readers of my blog will know that I am a fan of Rimmer’s 60 Second nail polish which dries very quickly but chips easily, it lasts a day at most but it suits my needs when I’m in a rush.
The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish on the other hand, promises up to 14 days of colour and shine but I only managed a good 5 days out of it. It is activated by natural light, not a lamp so it’s easy (and cheaper) to apply at home. The formula is thick and high shine, it gives a convincing gel finish in my opinion.
Allow about 15 minutes after application before you get on with other things because it can still smudge but I would say that it is a good product of the quality you would expect from a brand like Sally Hansen and competitively priced.
Have you tried any new nail product recently? If you have don’t be shy and let me know all about it!

I just love Nails Inc gel polishes. At around £15 they are middle price but are great value for money. I also recently bought and love Chanel gel top coat. It is high gloss and means I get about a week out of my polish chip free.
I’m quite new to them really Marina but I thought the Rimmel wasn’t bad either. Chanel sounds like one to try though! Thank you for the recommendation, I used to wear Rouge Noir pre-kids and I was thinking the other day that it might just be time for a traet! Have a good weekend!
I love having my nails done, it’s my only treat these days, especially since I had my children. I love Sally Hansen Miracle Gel range, it is excellent and they have a wide range of colours
Well I’ve only got the one but I’m ready to buy some more, which is your favourite Elena? Have a great weed and thank you for taking the time to comment!
5 days is pretty good going, will give this one a try! x
