Summer feels like a distant memory and I am loving every minute of these chilly autumnal days. The falling leaves and crisp mornings are synonymous with changes to my skincare routine, especially now that the central heating is on for the forseeable future.
I have tried quite a lot of new products recently and I have found some excellent new additions to my bathroom cabinet and makeup bag starting with…
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum £57 – O.M.G! pretty much sums up how I feel about this product, it’s brilliant. My husband bought some Aesop goodies for me recently and the lovely lady who helped (my helpless) husband took pity on him and gave him a huge stack of samples. The Parsley Seed eye serum was amongst them and it’s impressive. Light on the skin, quick to sink in and you can immediately feel the tightening effect around the eyes. This range smells botanical and good for you, like the a treatment room in an uber luxurious spa.
Darphin Stimuluskin Plus Serum Mask – I got this in a My Little Box recently and it’s rather good. Definitely one that I would consider buying once the tester has run out. It’s not cheap at £95 for 50ml but you only use it two or three times a week so it would last a while. The texture is luxurious and rich but not too heavy and my skin looks refreshed whenever I use it.
I have become a fan of Topshop make up. I bought a gorgeous red lipstick in Champion, the formula is creamy and the colour long lasting, not at all bad for £8
Percy & Reed Hairspray £12 – Elnett is my go-to hairspray and I have been faithful to it for a long time but I treated myself to Percy & Reed’s Session Hold Hairspray and it’s very good. I can keep my beachy waves looking good for almost two days after use and it smells good too!
I always look forward to reading comments from you so if you have any recommendations please do get in touch and share!

Oh you have reminded me to try the Aesop eye serum, I have a sample too. I do love Aesop and their ethos. Did you know their Richmond shop does facials and also pop up dining evenings?
I will check out the topshop lipstick too, gorgeous red! X
I did not know that Mrs Jones! Perhaps we should indulge some time… Topshop lippy is quite long lasting – pocket money treat!
Is it wrong that I want the tube of Aesop’s hand cream because it’s the perfect shade of pink? xx
Erm… no! it smells divine but I have barely used it because the tube is so pretty – I’m obsessed with pink ATM, feel like a 5 year old!
Love Aesop, everything from the packaging, quality and all smell amazing. I also have an eye serum sample stashed somewhere that I am now off to go and find!! Xx
It’s such a brilliant brand and I swear that eye serum is like youth elixir! Thank you for taking the time to read my post lovely! xxx
I am a bit Aesop obsessed actually, I LOVE the smell and just enjoy their products, the shampoo and conditioner is divine, and I use the face cream and OK I confess I use the face scrub, toner, hand wash and more, yep obsessed! I didn’t know top shop had lippy I must check it out!
I love the brand and I’m completely invested in their ethos and aesthetic but I can’t say that I have tried too many of their products, I’ll be coming to you for recommendations! Oh! and Topshop make up is really good actually. Nail polish is long lasting and I really like the packaging too!
