By ‘now’ I mean what to wear while we transition between seasons, so far we have experienced the hottest September in 100 years alongside some pretty hideous rain. I know I sound like a complete and utter weather obsessive but dressing for these in-between days can pose a bit of a style conundrum. I don’t profess to have the definitive answer but I have been getting by with a few versatile pieces and the odd classic accessory thrown in for good measure, as well as a flexible approach to footwear.
I’ve been doing the whole bare legs, long sleeves thing quite a lot and I’ve been wearing transeasonal pieces like these culottes and this dress to death. Oh! and quite a bit of pink which seems to be working its way into our Autumn wardrobes too.
Midi skirts are an excellent choice right now, the trend isn’t going anywhere so it might be time to invest in one if you haven’t taken the plunge already. I like this one from Topshop and this one from Nobody’s Child. Zara is on point as usual and I have seriously got my eye on these culotte-style dungarees which would look fabulous paired with box-fresh white trainers or ankle boots.
In terms of accessories, my Love My Soul oversized clutch and animal print shoes have been my go-to pieces because I think they add a bit of seriousness to informal outfits which is absolutely necessary now that we are back at school, right?
