Not Wearing…

Not Wearing…

This blog is as much about experimenting with new trends as it is about finding your style groove and working out what really suits you. There are some trends that I do indulge in and others that I simply choose to ignore. This season I will be giving a wide berth to the following:

Bardot Tops, I really really love these, they are just so cute but I won’t be buying one. Firstly, they kind of pop back up your shoulders as soon as you move your arms around a bit and then you’ve got the issue of what bra to wear. I think you can only really go strapless and I’d love it if someone could point me in the direction of one that doesn’t start to slip down your breasts after a while or ends up twisted round your midriff. No, I’ve been round this particular block a few times and I’m not doing it again, although I am open to suggestions.

Next on my list are mules. Oh man! I just can’t go there again, I remember owning a purple pair from M&S in circa 1996 – don’t judge please, I was young and easily led. I just don’t think they have transitioned very well into 2016.

I also can’t see myself wearing Nanna shoes, I mean my Nan still wears them so no, I won’t be going there either. I have seen people rocking this look and I get it but it’s not for me.

Embroided jeans. Oh boy! Gucci may have made these cool again but unless you are young enough to wear them ironically steer clear my friend.

That’s all from me for today, hope you enjoyed this tongue in cheek post. What’s everyone up to?

I once had a very traumatic experience in a red lace bardot top that let me down, embarrassingly, in Camden Town tube station, so I totally get this! #Brigitteworethembest
