Adding A Touch Of Blush To Your Home

Blush Interiors

This post is all about injecting a little rose quartz into your home, it’s 2016’s colour of the year don’t cha know? Specifically Pantone-13, I suppose it’s hardly surprising since our Instagram feeds have been awash with pretty pinks and blush tones for so long now.

I personally love love love this pretty shade of pink and have tried to add a little bit of it to my mostly neutral interior colour scheme, particularly now that the days are getting longer and I am looking to lighten things up a bit.

We painted 90% of our house in a stony shade by Farrow and Ball to create a cohesive feel to our home. The muted tones underpin our personal style and taste, the rooms feel light and airy and they are easy to update with a few simple touches. I know this isn’t ground breaking advice but it really does work and the beauty of going neutral on the big things i.e. walls and larger pieces of furniture is that I am able to indulge in new trends without having to spend a huge amount of cash redecorating.

My nod to the colour of the year takes the form of some simple cushions from H&M home (yes again!), a steal at £3.99 and this pretty succulent from M&S for £6 (available in store). I think the colour works fantastically well with a bit of monochrome and seems perfect for these light and warm days of early summer.

Still need convincing that rose is the way to go? Head over to my Pinterest page for some inspiration.
