I’ve had a bit of time to browse the high street over the Easter break and I found some great and inexpensive products that I thought I’d share with you.
I have been a fan of hot cloth cleansing for some time and thoroughly recommend it if you want squeaky clean skin. I’ve tried several cleansers over the years, from the pricier Eve Lom to the brilliant and more budget friendly Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. On a recent trip to the supermarket when my stash was running as low as my funds, I found this effective cleansing milk from L’Oreal, it retails at about £4 but I’ve found it as cheap as £2.45. It glides on nicely and removes make up effectively. Yes, even eye make up.
This Cheek and Lip Stain from Seventeen has got me very excited priced at just £4.99. It comes in a pretty pink and a peachy sort of colour, the pink really reminds me of Benefit’s legendary Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain. The colour isn’t as intense and I do layer some shimmery blush over the top but it does the job.
Finally lips: chapped lips have been the bane of my life this winter, I tend to suffer with dry, sore lips but they’ve been awful recently. I have lip balms in every pocket, every drawer and every bag but not much helps.Vaseline is always good but I find that it tends to rub off after a few minutes so I splashed out on Lanolips Ointment. This isn’t exactly cheap at £10.99 but it is so effective that it’s worth the cost. It contains pure lanolin and the beauty of it is that it stays put and really seals in moisture AND you can use it on your cuticles and on your feet too. I have also started using a minty lip scrub from Lush that tastes a bit like a mojito (bonus), it contains sugar crystals that help to scrub away flaky skin and tastes so good that it has made it into my make up bag. Anyone got any other cheap beauty buys they’d like to share?

Hey Antonia lovely post – chapped lips are a big problem for me also – I need to try out some lanolips actually. Dry lips is just so annoying!!
Yes they are! and Lanolips is really good at staying on your lips, not the cheapest but a good one x
